Discover the #1 trend in cosmetic restoration

[ad_1]

Excess fat is one of the most common aesthetic problems for men and women, but now, in the hands of experts, it can turn into “tool” for a shapely silhouette.

Recent years, we can use fat to improve our appearance. The use of autologous – that is, from the body itself – fat is now the number one trend for cosmetic restoration in person and body, worldwide, while gaining ground at a leaping pace in our country as well. The use of autologous adipose tissue is utilized both for increase in volumei.e. the “filling” of gaps, as well as for aesthetic regeneration, that is, the correction of imperfections in various areas of the face and body. Modern studies show that adipose tissue is rich in stem cellswhich contribute to angiogenesis and tissue regeneration.

Autologous fat is also used today in reconstructive surgerysuch as after an accident or surgery, restoring deficits and damages that previously required more, long and “heavy” operations, without the result being the desired one.

Small interventions with Lipofilling

The method is an alternative option instead of hyaluronic acid and is indicated for the filling of wrinkles (face, mid-frow, nasolabial, peri-ocular, etc.) and scars, for strengthening the cheekbones, restoring the décolleté, correcting the contours of the face and neck, adding volume to the lips, upper surface of the hands, etc. It can, however, also be applied to the body to treat small lipodystrophy in the buttocks and thighs. During its application with special syringes, fat is taken from an area where there is rich adipose tissue and, after special processing, it is placed where there is a deficit.

The procedure can be performed in the doctor’s office, without anesthesia. After the operation, there may be redness on the skin, which subsides in two days at the most. Also, a small swelling may appear in the area, which gradually subsides, or small exudations that are covered with makeup and “disappear” in a short time.

During the first week, it is recommended to avoid exposure to sunlight and solariums, as well as vigorous physical activity. The result is immediately visible and lasts for more than 12 months. However, the spectacular difference is noticeable from the 3rd week up to the 3rd month. The method can be combined with other treatments, such as autologous mesotherapy, to strengthen and maintain the effect for up to two years. Its main advantage is the natural and long-lasting effect.

Liposculpture for larger surfaces

When the volume deficit is more extensive, fat is taken by liposuction from areas where there is an excess, such as the abdomen, buttocks or thighs (“buns”) and, after special processing, is placed in the areas where there is a deficit.

The procedure requires a hospital environment and is performed by a specialized plastic surgeon. It is done under local anesthesia, sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of the problem, and no hospitalization is required. The return to daily activities is immediate, however it is recommended to avoid vigorous physical activities for 1-2 weeks. Also, the use of a special bra, belt or corset is required, depending on the area and the extent of the liposuction that has been done for 7-10 days. The result is immediately visible and improves day by day, up to 12 months, while it lasts for life.

By applying the method it is done recovery at three levels:

  • removal of volume where there is excess,
  • addition where there is a deficit and
  • regeneration of tissues by the action of stem cells.

In this context, it can be used to increase volume in the buttocks and breasts, to restore lipodystrophy (cellulitis) or to restore after mastectomy. In the case of the breast, the method is alternative option for people who do not wish to have implants placed. However, careful handling is required, as the placement of fat in this particular area of the body may reduce the clarity of imaging examinations. In the buttocks, the fat is placed at the level of the muscles, so that it has more precision in terms of the uniformity of the result. In recent years, it has also been used to add volume to the calves and arms. The method is particularly popular after bariatric operations. In northern European countries, such as Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, fat transfer is popular for breast augmentation, while in America it is commonly performed for buttock augmentation.

Because a percentage of the fat placed is absorbed by the body, a larger amount is initially injected than what is really required, so that the quantity that will ensure the desired result remains. The main advantage of the method is that with fat there is no risk of rejection, since it is not a foreign material and, because it has the same characteristics, no unevenness is caused.

Improving the face and figure by transferring fat from the body itself is now widely accepted and experienced. It is an effective regenerative treatment, which does not involve any risks”, concludes Dr. Anastasia Seferi-Daniel.
